oxford

the oxford shirt. is it masculine or is it feminine? is it done or undone? is it casual or formal? should it be fitted or oversized?

all of the above. the oxford shirt is so multi-faceted. and should be a staple in anyone’s wardrobe- male or female. i tend to favour a crisp, white oxford shirt. this one, from ny& co. is more of a tunic but i like the versatility of wearing it only as a top. it poses some issue when i decide to tuck it into pants however, as it tends to create a deceiving BULGE down-under, you know, below the waistline. that aside, this oxford has served me well for the past five years, i won’t let a little bulk stand in the way of my love for it.

this time around, i enjoyed pairing it with one of my heather laine dresses. it is strapless, which gives me room to wear it as a skirt as well as in its intended form. this dress is about seven years old, i can’t seem to let go of it because i love the print so much.
